Year One - Under the direction of the Manager of Operations Reliability, the successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at delivering the plant's compelling business need which includes safety, customer service and cost. Primary focus will be on one business unit, with the balance on projects potentially plant wide in scope.
Year Two - Will have shift accountability for all business unit results, daily management systems and organizational health. They will be responsible for managing and improving the results with that area as needed to contribute to the overall plant CBN and journey map. In this role they will manage the people, equipment and processes that come together to create their end product in way that is preferred to consumers and downstream customers. This person will work to grow the capability of the people in their area. They will work to incorporate new reliability tools into the current systems in a way that is meaningful and drive continuous improvement and produces extraordinary results.
Year One - Work under Direction of Operations Reliability Manager………….
Promote improved equipment reliability through the use of 5S, Centerlining, Daily Direction Setting, Autonomous Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement activities such as listening and communication skills, benchmarking, small group problem solving, Six Sigma focused improvement, DMAIC process, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Kaizen and SMED events.
Identity and eliminate sources of waste in the operation through analysis of process downtime, process mapping, Operation Equipment Effectiveness and Cost Tree Analysis.
Utilize Financial and Asset measures such as Cost Accounting principles, Repair/Replace analysis, Line Loading and Capacity Analysis, Inventory and Cash Flows, Total Delivered Cost and NPV (net Present Value) analysis to determine costs and recommend/justify improvement projects.
Query and analyze data from SAP, Zarpac Downtime System, Visual SPC Quality System, Mini-MIINT Production data system and Maintenance systems to determine trends and analyze opportunities.Use Statistical Process control techniques to identify and reduce sources of variation.
Use MS Office tools for effective report writing, presentation development and analysis.
Use other computer skills such as Process flow modeling to perform "what if scenarious".
Develop Labor Standards and conduct crewing evaluations utilizing sound Time Study, Work Sampling, Methods improvements and Ergonomic principles.
Utilize Lean applications such as Value Stream Mapping, Line Layout Analysis, Line Balancing, Bottleneck identification and remediation, Cycle time reduction and Schedule Optimization.
Year Two - Supervisor Role:
Ensure clear direction and priorities for the shift and that these are aligned with the business unit
Manage direct and indirect labor efficiently
Track and gap results vs work plan and budget for all KPI's including safety and quality to deliver team goals
Develop Service leaders and other leadership
Provide training, coaching and facilitation
Manage the Safety system within their area
Coach and lead the team on execution of daily management systems in the business unit such as DDS, CL, RCFA and Operational Standards documentation
Improve and sustain assessment scores for DDS, CL, 5S processes
Ensure Operational Standards are executed with excellence. Work with Maintenance Lead, Engineering and other as needed to ensure follow up to significant issues are captured in RCFA
Lead the shift team meeting
Communicate team/shift results and needs to busines unit manager.
Year 1
Must be able to efficiently use excel spreadsheets to calculate project savings justifications using data queried from various sources.
Must be able to create and present information numerically and graphically to communicate results.
Must be able to manage large amounts of project tracking information so that all pertinent information is readily available.
Year 2
Working with all people and equipment across the shift to manage the team
Involved in all activities including daily management, budgeting, strategic planning, TDC initiatives, enabler planning and execution and the capital forecasting process
Interface with multiple funtions with the plant, as well as WHQ Engineering, Process Safety, Product Development, Reliability and annual network teams.

Bachelor's in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Packaging)
