Job Description
For over nine years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the delivery
of training services to foreign military personnel in support of US
foreign assistance programs. All travel and
transportation arrangements will be made and paid for by AMERICAN
SYSTEMS. Living expenses are paid by AMERICAN SYSTEMS with all
employees living in western-style secure accommodations. Work
is performed five days per week at an Egyptian Air Force Base.
Persons hired will be full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN
SYSTEMS.

Description:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is
seeking a retired or former Army AH-64D (Apache) Standardization
Instructor Pilot (152HH) to provide training assistance and advice to
the Egyptian Air Force in all aspects of flight training and
standardization as it pertains to the safe and successful operation
of the AH-64D.
This position is located in
Egypt
The Technical Assistance Field Team
(TAFT) is being provided to the Egyptian Air force (EAF) in support
of their helicopter fleet. This team is being provided to
provide advice, assist, and train the Egyptian Air Force in all
aspects of daily helicopter operations in order to facilitate and
build an operational, self-sustaining helicopter squadron. This
field team is being provided as part of a Security Assistance
Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the
execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and
Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primarily responsible for advising and training EAF
Instructor Pilots on all aspects of aviation flight training.
• Will work directly for the TAFT Chief and work closely
with other assigned contractor and military TAFT members to assist
the EAF in the safe, efficient and effective implementation of their
flight instructor and pilot training programs.
• Will
review TAFT and EAF SOPs, provide recommendation to improve SOPs, and
monitor programs to ensure compliance with U.S. Army and EAF
regulatory policies.
• Will provide Aviation Training
Program (ATP) management advice, guidance, and limited supervision
for all AH-64D pilots within the EAF.
• Will provide
guidance to ensure understanding of individual tasks as needed in
accordance with TC-251 Aircrew Training Manual and other applicable
publications. This includes providing academic instruction in a
classroom environment to TRADOC standards for AH-64D aircraft and
flight subjects in accordance with AH-64D Aircrew Training Manuals,
Flight Training Guides, and Programs of Instruction.
• Will provide contact, basic instrument, and basic
combat skills training (with day/NVS) in the AH-64D aircraft to US
Army TRADOC standards to support the Aircrew Training Program of the
Egyptian Air Force.
• Will provide instruction in the
Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT).
• Will provide
overwater and high altitude environmental academic and flight
instruction.
• Will provide instruction and
advice on air-ground integration of the AH-64D and digital
communications.
• All tasks, conditions,
and standards shall be in accordance with the Aircrew Training
Manual, Flight Training Guide or as agreed to by the contractor and
the US Government prior to training. This shall include
assistance in the aircraft from the TAFT SP while performing flight
duties. The goal is not to support EAF Instructor Pilots on
daily operations, but to ensure safe and correct procedures are
conducted and appropriate interpretation of information gathered
during training flights is accomplished.
• Will shall
monitor, assist, and train EAF IPs and pilots as needed to ensure all
forms and records from each flight are correctly annotated.
• Will be required to perform administrative duties
within the TAFT which may include, but are not limited to: safety,
force protection, key control, ALSE (if qualified), computer security
working groups, publications, vehicle control/issue, and/or other
duties as assigned by the TAFT Team Chief.
Position Requirements:
• Retired/
former Military AH-64D (Apache) Standardization Instructor Pilot who
held the MOS of 152HH.
• Must have completed the U.S.
Army Aviation AH-64D Qualification Course, the U.S. Army Aviation
AH-64D Instructor Pilot Course, and the U.S. Army Aviation Instrument
Examiners Course.
• Must possess a current U.S., Army
Class II Flight Physical or a FAA Second Class Medical Certificate,
and be current as an IP/SP in the AH-64D.
• Must have
at least 6 years specific to AH-64D as an IP, have a minimum of 1500
total flight hours in the AH-64 series aircraft with 750 hours in the
AH-64D.
• Must have experience with aircraft forms and
records to verify EAF compliance with the AED issued AWR.
• Must have experience developing and implementing
training plans and programs of instruction at a US Army Service
School or civilian equivalent.
•• Must
possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport must not expire
within 12-months of being hired.)
• Candidate must be
drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural
communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an
interpreter.
